Being that Sunday is beautiful, and we needed to get some energy out, we looked up the local trampoline park and made a beeline for the facility.
At first glance, JP was like, “OK, I’m gonna spend €45 on this place? sigh”
It didn’t look like much.
Granted, it had a massive foam pit and a few trampolines, and a gym area for little, little kids, and some aged games.
But the AAs were super excited to be there!
It took about 20 minutes of jumping before we realized there’s an entire downstairs.
And it’s yuge!
Perfect for parkour, games, challenges, free jumping, etc.
Everyone practiced flips, the AAs climbed a wall, we slide and flew into the air. It was awesome, and exhausting.

The rest of the day was lowkey with more trampoline jumping back at home, then the girls made pizza pockets from scratch, so it was a win all around!

Monday we drove into Madrid to visit the Train Museum!
This place has lots of trains, the history of train lines in Spain, the specific history of different train cars and locomotives, and some cool exhibitis about model trains, station clocks and time keeping, and even construction.
You can climb through a few different trains, as well as pretend to run your own locomotive. And there’s a room dedicated to the evolution of trains, and you can even throw the switches that change train track lines (so cool)!
In the top floor there is a very beautifully made, fully functional train set, and you can play with the old switch board (lots of buttons and knobs, yippee)!
From the train museum we stopped at a produce market and got some plantains (first time since Kitzingen), and made a mandatory boba stop before heading back to the house and another school and work night.

Tuesday we made an early trip out to Toledo to see the city in daylight, and get some good tourist time in the city.
Instead of parking below the city and escalatoring up, we drove into the Jewish quarter, and found a parking garage that we could squeeze into. Again, probably a good thing Elyce wasn’t with us because the claustrophobia-inducing narrow alleys would probably have driven her nuts.

Sweet Home Chicago
Sunday was a recuperating day for us. It was nice to have so many guests for Shabbat especially as we travel there are many Shabbatote that are just the 5 of us. But this was a lot. As Mayrav was packing to leave us for Philadelphia her flight was canceled (thanks Gish for listening to the news), due to a storm heading into the East coast. So face masks and movie night.

Sparing the children from putting the photo with the 3 of them on here. These photos are creepy, but Vered wanted me to put this one on here. So you are all welcome.
Monday was school work for Mayrav and Vered and then we went to see where Ezra is working kind of day. I am so proud of this kid. He is doing a job that when JP and I were his age we were told “Is not a real job.” (Maybe not by some family members but definitely by others) This still makes me sad to hear people say. Without the TRADES nothing would happen. We are so proud that he is doing a job that doesn’t always feel like a job to him. He works hard, is learning a lot and sometimes ends up staying longer because he got carried away and didn’t realize the time. This is what working a job that you like is about. He looks so happy to be here, this is what a mother wants for their children.

Today is a Bitter Sweet day, Tuesday, Mayrav finally got a flight back to Philadelphia, Ezra went to work and we are heading back to the airport. My heart is so full.
